I spend almost all of my vacation time, about 90%, wearing a bikini. It might sound like I’m exaggerating, but it’s true! I usually toss on a simple t-shirt or cheap dress for a quick lunch, and I have a few loose dresses for dinner. But mostly, if the weather’s hot, you’ll find me in a bikini.
This might give away what’s in my suitcase, which is mainly bikinis and comfy cotton clothes. If you’re curious about my holiday wardrobe, there’s a video where you can get a peek. It even includes some holiday snapshots and features the DVF bikini in all its colorful glory.
Throughout the video, I’m wearing Chanel’s “Holiday” nail polish, which is still available at Selfridges. Ready to dive in? Let’s go:
Here’s a quick rundown of the outfits I brought to Greece this year. Packing for a vacation can be tricky—you either bring too much or not enough! Since I stick to bikinis most of the time, my focus is on easy, casual outfits.
When it’s hot, you want clothes that are loose and comfy. Tight clothes in the heat are the worst! So, make sure to pack lots of lightweight, roomy clothing. Fabrics like cotton, linen, and silk are best because they breathe better than polyester.
Don’t forget the essentials: a hat and sunglasses. To keep your face looking youthful, it’s important to stay in the shade. You can always bronze up with makeup, so no need to sunbathe for a tan.
Most of the clothes in the video aren’t available anymore, but you can still find Violet Lake bikinis online, like the orange one. The Diane von Furstenberg bikini was from Net-a-Porter, but it was on sale, so it’s probably sold out. The Splendid dress was also from Net-a-Porter’s sale.
I picked up a cat vest from H&M in Covent Garden, London, a few weeks ago, but everything else is older. I don’t bring many designer items on vacation since I prefer to wear and tear my outfits at the beach and beyond.
