Let’s dive into some brilliant skincare products you can pick up at the supermarket without any unnecessary detours. If you’re sticking to supermarket deliveries or just want to minimize them, here are some fantastic skincare gems available both online and in-store.
I’ve focused on Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA, and Waitrose. I haven’t tackled Lidl or Aldi yet, but they’re on my list for the future!
Let’s keep it simple—I’ve stuck to the basics: cleanse, serum, and moisturize.
Cleanse:
Supermarket shelves are filled with gels, foams, wipes, and micellar cleansers, but it can be tough to find balm, oil, and cream cleansers. Yet, there are some rich, creamy cleansers available. At Sainsbury’s, the Superfacialist Rose Cleanser is a standout—perfect for those who prefer creamy formulas. If you’re using Balance Me products, their Balm Cleanser is a luxurious choice. At Tesco, the Cosmeticism Cleansing Cream is a great option, while ASDA’s NSpa Hot Cloth Polish is a fantastic budget cleanser. At Waitrose, the Weleda Almond Cleanser is my top pick.
Serum:
For serums, I recommend hyaluronic acid, which suits just about anyone. L’Oreal has a new 1.5% version available at Sainsbury’s. The Balance Me Vitamin C serum is another excellent choice, which you can find at Sainsbury’s. Olay’s 3 Point Firming Serum, tested extensively, is lightweight, non-greasy, and perfect under makeup.
Moisturize:
Some of my favorite supermarket moisturizers include Simple Calming Moisturiser with Hemp available at many supermarkets. L’Oreal’s Revitalift Night Cream-Mask, found at Waitrose, is my top L’Oreal pick as it outperforms many pricier sleep masks and works wonders with a hyaluronic serum underneath.
Special Treats:
For quick fixes, Clearasil Rapid Action Pads can be handy for spot treatments. They contain salicylic acid to help clear pores without being too harsh, though they might be drying if used all over.
Feel free to share your supermarket skincare favorites! I’ll be back exploring more options soon, especially from Lidl and Aldi.
