As I’m wrapping up my summer posts just before the season officially ends, I’m staying consistent with my usual timing! I still haven’t finished my 2019 sunscreen roundup, despite setting aside some time back in April to work on it.
Luckily, most of my top summer beauty finds are handy year-round: a foolproof gradual tanner you’ll want to use all the time, and a leg enhancer so good you’ll probably skip the tights altogether. These aren’t just summer essentials; lightweight gels and invisible sunscreens are often must-have items no matter the season.
Regarding the gradual tanner I’ve always recommended, Hylamide Glow from Deciem, it appears to be discontinued. That’s a letdown since I’ve praised it so much. I’m trying to find out what happened, but for now, you can’t go wrong with the tan drops from Isle of Paradise. Clarins also makes excellent gradual tan drops, and I’m a fan of both Elemis and James Read overnight tanning masks, which are easy to use as they don’t require mixing.
You might notice a mistake I made in a video where I sprayed Anthelios XL body sunscreen on my face instead of the facial mist. Whoops! The mist is actually lighter and gives a more matte finish compared to the large can of XL SPF50.
