Examining L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow: An In-Depth Review

Examining L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow: An In-Depth Review

I’m a bit late in sharing my thoughts on the L’Oreal Pro Glow Foundation, but I believe it’s worth the wait. If you’re searching for a foundation that gives a flawless finish while looking fresh and natural, with a vibrant and long-lasting effect, this might be your holy grail without breaking the bank.

I apologize to those who’ve been eagerly waiting for this review, as I’ve received numerous questions and comments about it. I wanted to ensure my love for it wasn’t just my personal bias, so I thoroughly tested it under various conditions. This has been a lengthy process of comparisons with many other foundations, and trying it over different creams, serums, oils, and sunscreens.

To summarize my findings: after extensively testing the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow foundation, I can confidently say it holds its own against more expensive brands like Lancome’s Teint Idole. When Pro Glow launched in the US, it was an instant hit, but it took a while for it to arrive in the UK, which only increased my curiosity. The glowing reviews and videos I saw made me eager to try it out myself because it seemed to promise a radiant, non-cakey finish with a texture that felt moisturizing and comfortable.

Now available in the UK, I can confirm Pro Glow is everything I hoped for. Many current foundations offer that elegant, radiant look, but Pro Glow also gives a radiant feel. While some high-end foundations manage to balance a matte finish with a glow, I sometimes want my skin to feel plump and moist—not greasy, just nicely hydrated.

L’Oreal rates Pro Glow’s coverage as medium, yet my tests show it compares closely with Lancome’s Teint Idole, which is marketed as full coverage. Both claim a 24-hour wear time, and I found they last at least 14 hours without budging, providing a beautiful, youthful finish.

For those with dry skin needing full coverage with realistic radiance, Pro Glow is a fantastic choice. While Clinique’s Even Better Glow and Clarins’ Skin Illusion work well for dewy looks on dry skin, Pro Glow feels more comfortable and provides heavier coverage without feeling heavy. It’s light and fluid yet glossy and plump, reminiscent of a makeup trick where face oil is buffed into the skin before foundation to achieve a smooth, shiny finish.

As for specific shades, I use 204, though 203 works well too if I want extra warmth. Although I tested Pro Glow during a week with good skin, which isn’t ideal for foundation testing, it still provided even tone and a lovely finish.

In terms of coverage, you can see better details near small marks and moles. This foundation doesn’t clog around areas with more hair, like the upper lip, and it blends smoothly due to its light, liquid nature.

One minor downside is the tube packaging can be a bit messy, so be ready when removing the lid to prevent spills. Another is the limited shade range, with only twelve options compared to L’Oreal’s True Match. However, I’m hopeful they’ll expand this soon. If you need a closer match and can invest more, Lancome’s Teint Idole comes in 40 shades and offers a similar elegant and comfy finish.

I’ll be comparing Pro Glow with Max Factor’s Radiant Lift foundation soon, as I’ve been wearing them both for comparison. For now, you can find L’Oreal Infallible Pro Glow on Amazon for £11.99.

This foundation feels and performs similarly to Lancome Teint Idole, while Clinique Even Better Glow and Clarins Skin Illusion provide less coverage. For those interested, I’m also reviewing foundations on YouTube where you can watch application videos.
