Another week brings a new outfit, and this one has a wholesome, girl-next-door vibe, unlike last week’s black lace look, which was more Sicilian Widow. It sort of reminds me of Jennifer Aniston’s style, probably because of the hair and sunglasses combo. The blouse is from Oasis—I just can’t resist the style of their shirts—and I believe the jeans are from Ralph Lauren. They match the cut of my other pair but have a knee rip. Personally, I would opt for ones without the rip, since it can be a bit annoying, though I did read that ripped jeans are trendy right now.
The trainers are from UGG and have a partial sheepskin lining, which is a nice touch, though maybe not in the middle of summer! Despite that, the shoes are really lightweight. I’m really impressed with UGG this year—they’ve nailed comfort and wearability. My high-heeled boots from their winter sale have been worn a lot, and I plan on using them for many seasons. They’re the only high boots I can stand in for more than a couple of hours, and I can even jump on and off the tube wearing them.
The sunglasses are from Avon. They’ve sold out, which isn’t surprising since they’re really cool, but they’ll be restocked at the end of the month. I’ll let you know when they’re available again. I’m currently into budget sunglasses, like my retro pair for seven pounds and small aviators that fit smaller heads. At this rate, I’ll need to clear a drawer just for sunglasses! Thankfully, the cheap ones don’t have cases, so they hardly take up space. I keep them in silky pouches from lost or broken pairs for a bit of protection.
Let me know what you think of the blouse. I’m on the lookout for a simple white one, but I like the heart print, and the pale grey-blue makes it look crisper and cleaner.
