A Sicilian Femme Fatale: My Look Inspired by Dolce & Gabbana

A Sicilian Femme Fatale: My Look Inspired by Dolce & Gabbana

Today, I’ve been channeling a “Sicilian Woman Scorned” vibe with my Dolce & Gabbana inspired outfit. I’m a huge fan of their ad campaigns each season, as they always nail that sexy and feminine style. The timeless combination of a pencil skirt, a cinched waist, and an unbuttoned blouse never seems to go out of style. All-black outfits are incredibly chic in the summer, too—they look sharp and sophisticated in the daylight and transform into something sultry and mysterious as night falls.

This look is perfect for an elegant evening out, though it might be a bit much for a typical office day unless you choose a less sheer blouse. The blouse I’m wearing is from Oasis, and if you love shirts, this one’s a must-have. It pairs wonderfully with both jeans and pencil skirts. I have several Oasis shirts in different fabrics and colors because they fit so well. This particular blouse goes for £35 at Oasis with same-day superfast delivery available if you’re eager to get your hands on it.

My skirt is from Topshop, and it’s a unique piece because the lining stops high up the leg—the kind of design that would reveal more than you’d want without its lace overlay. Despite being on the pricier side for Topshop at £75, the lace is thick and gives it an expensive look.

I’ve complemented the outfit with chunky gold jewelry. I love how black outfits pop with gold accessories. My bracelet is from ALDO, and you might remember it from last week’s post. The ring is a thick chain-style piece from Kurt Geiger, available for £25 at ASOS. The shoes I’m wearing are French 65 Heels from Whistles, a staple in their collection. They’re not the type of heels you’d run to catch a bus in, but they’re stable and relatively comfortable for a high heel. You could probably manage a leisurely walk and enjoy some cocktails and dinner without too much discomfort. They also come in pink at a discount.

Finally, let’s talk about the tortoiseshell aviator sunglasses. These are fantastic if you have a small face or head; they’re quite petite, so they might look undersized on larger faces. I got them for £15 from ASOS, and you’ll see them again later this week when I share more of my bargain finds.

What do you think of this look? It’s one of my favorites, and I’m thrilled with the black chiffon shirt from Oasis. Now, I think it’s time to plan a holiday in Italy!
