When I arrived in London, my makeup bag was a haphazard mess. Somehow, I packed four bronzers and two foundations, but I forgot to bring any brow products, lipstick, or a versatile eyeshadow. Despite the oversight, I got creative with what I had. Even after a few weeks, I’ve stuck to the new routine because it surprisingly works well for me.
I start with the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation, which is perfect for a long-lasting, polished look. Then, I apply the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow for contouring and bronzing. I tend to go overboard, so I spend some time blending it out. This product is great if you want an instant glamour makeover, though there are less expensive alternatives.
For blush, I use a Valentino shade, but any pinkish tone will give you a nice, healthy flush. When it comes to eyes, I get innovative by using the same Tilbury palette. I contour with it and use the highlighter for my eyelids, creating a cohesive look throughout.
I add a bit of Vieve Eye Wand in Coffee to the eye corners for a subtle lift. It’s versatile and easy to blend, so I smudge a bit into the lash lines for added definition without harsh lines. For mascara, L’Oreal Telescopic is my go-to. Its narrow comb helps coat every lash, making them look chic and separated without causing smudging or fallout.
For brows, I improvise with hairspray and a brush, since my dedicated brow products mysteriously vanished. My lips get more attention with a Rare Beauty lip liner, which I blend in lightly and finish with lip balm.
The routine is quite minimal and works surprisingly well for me. I’ve also linked some other items from the video, including my skincare favorites and the blouse I’m wearing, which is just lovely!
