I was browsing Net-a-Porter for fun, dreaming about expensive dresses, when I stumbled upon some stylish clothes at surprisingly low prices. Dresses for just £50 seemed too good to be true since usually, you can’t even buy socks for that price on Net-a-Porter. It turned out to be the Altuzarra for Target collection, which, surprisingly, they were offering online too. Naturally, I couldn’t resist and decided to order two dresses and a faux-fur jacket.
However, I did notice a few quirks: a $49.99 dress is listed as £50, which seems off given the exchange rate. Also, the quality isn’t exactly designer-level; the coat feels a bit synthetic, and the python print dress is somewhat thin. I think Topshop might offer better quality, though the faux-fur jacket has an impressive wide-shouldered, movie-star look. I’m still deciding whether to keep it – figuratively speaking, of course.
One piece I absolutely love is the unique “half work shirt, half siren python-skin skirt” dress. It’s oddly mismatched yet feels incredibly right when worn. It fits perfectly around my waist and hips, giving it a tailored look. Despite the lower quality fabrics, the dress has a striking Sexy Secretary vibe, kind of like a female Clark Kent – professional on top, daring on the bottom. This one’s a keeper for sure.

(For those curious, I got the dress shown in the photos in a size 4, which fits snugly but comfortably. I’m usually a UK size 10, not a UK 8. The fur jacket runs small; I bought a size small, and it just fits. The snakeskin dress is slightly too small for me; I needed a US6 but purchased a US4.)
