I got hooked again. I visited the Sézane website and was convinced that everything there would transform me into a chic, youthful Parisian from the seventies, so I ended up ordering a bunch of items. When my order arrived, beautifully wrapped, I immediately tried everything on. Did I transform into that dream girl? Sadly, no.
The truth is, I’m not twenty anymore. While I’m satisfied with my body, my shape doesn’t quite turn a simple cotton henley into a mesmerizing masterpiece. Sézane, with their incredible sense of style and French flair, create this bewitching branding. They choose models and styles so perfectly that even everyday items seem alluring, like they could make any outfit look inviting.
Their “Brut Sexy” jeans look great in photos, but in reality, they don’t fit my body quite right. While Sézane’s collection is lovely, my expectations often clash with reality. Take their oversized shirt: stunning, sure, but would I ever actually wear it unbuttoned to the navel without a bra? Probably not. Their cardigans, while enticingly styled, aren’t exactly practical for a casual supermarket trip where the last thing you want is for your outfit to fall apart.
Despite this, I’m completely captivated by their brand. I can’t resist images of models with effortless chic and slightly kittenish charm. Even now, I’m eyeing their new collection, with several items in my cart, fantasizing about becoming that effortlessly stylish girl who never needs to unzip her jeans after lunch and seemingly lives in a posh Paris apartment.
Here’s a quick rundown of what I tried in this order:
– Slim Parfait Jeans in Light Blue, Size 12 – Considering keeping them; thoughts?
– Max Shirt, Very Light Denim, Size 8 – Also considering, as long as I find ways to wear it that qualify as real outfits.
– Brut Sexy Jeans, Indigo, Size 10 – Unfortunately, they didn’t work for me.
– Très Cliché Tee, Small – A definite yes, keeping it!
– Milo T-Shirt – Might not keep it unless it looks much better with a push-up bra.
– Theodora T-Shirt – Not working for me.
