This week’s video was a bit of a mixed bag with reviews and demos, so I picked out two highlights that I thought would be the most appealing: some new Chanel makeup from their latest collection and a foundation that promises incredibly radiant skin. Thus, I came up with the catchy title: New Chanel Makeup and Glowing Skin.
Putting the humor aside, there are some true makeup treasures in this video, particularly if you prefer a minimalist approach. The PUR Hydrafluid Foundation is quite charming, and the Chanel Les Beiges powder serves as an excellent, subtle bronzer for those who want just a hint of color. I initially considered reviewing the PUR foundation separately, but its limited availability and shade range have put that plan on hold for now.
On a side note, Clarins has introduced something quite similar: the new Skin Illusion Natural Hydrating Foundation. It appears to replace an older version, which I really liked for its fresh, dewy finish with full coverage that never looked cakey. This new version comes in a glass bottle with a dropper-type dispenser, which isn’t my favorite packaging, but I can overlook it given the product’s quality. It feels silky, like a dry oil but not greasy, and is very comfortable on the skin, providing a naturally glowing finish. I believe it will become a staple for anyone who loves a natural, understated foundation look.
