WEEKLY SHOWCASE: LUXURIOUSLY SOFT PYJAMAS

WEEKLY SHOWCASE: LUXURIOUSLY SOFT PYJAMAS

Continuing with the sleep and bedtime theme, let’s talk about the most luxurious and silky pajamas. I’m not referring to the traditional “look at me” type of sexy with revealing lingerie, but rather the comfort and luxury of soft, silky sleepwear that guarantees a restful night. It’s that kind of contentment you get when you’re alone in a lovely hotel room, wrapped in crisp sheets, maybe after a glass or two of red wine. As soon as your head hits the pillow, you know you’ll drift off effortlessly into an amazing sleep. Especially when it’s undisturbed, without any crying or snoring interruptions—or, in a humorous twist, without a dog scratching on the carpet nearby!

Quality silky pajamas are essentially happiness in the form of clothing. Let’s explore some options:

1) Asceno: This brand sent me a pair, and I was amazed by their decadence. The design is so elegant that the top could be worn as a chic, silky blouse. Their Rolling Stones print pajamas are stunning. Although silk pajamas can be pricey, they are absolutely worth it if you’re treating yourself or someone else.

2) Alice Temperley: Not exactly pajamas, but this silk camisole set from Somerset by Alice Temperley offers a vintage vibe perfect for relaxing after a party. It’s technically a bridal set, but who cares? Imagine enjoying a G&T on a balcony, wrapped in a fabulous kimono. It’s priced at £85 at John Lewis.

3) Olivia Von Halle: I adore Olivia Von Halle’s Alba pajamas. I already own a plain black pair with cream piping and they are incredible, but the new prints are tempting. They are on the luxurious side at £225, but dreams are allowed! Check them out at Net-a-Porter.

4) Olivia Von Halle (again): I’ve come across an array of Olivia von Halle nightwear on The Outnet. There’s a delicate set for £83.25, a fraction of the original price, with many designs to explore.

5) Princesse Tam Tam: These may seem simple compared to others, but their classic silk pajamas in soft ivory silk are exquisitely tailored. They’re significantly discounted on the House of Fraser website, and sizes are still available for a chic choice.

6) Stella McCartney: Lastly, we return to The Outnet for the Poppy Snoozing pajamas, made of 92% silk with a touch of stretch for comfort. Originally £275, they are now £137.50, and would make a lovely bridal or bridesmaid gift.

If you know of any other silky sleepwear that I should check out, feel free to share!
