Welcome to my first post of 2023! Let’s dive right into my current makeup routine and some amazing new finds. These products have truly transformed my routine, even prompting my husband to ask about my eyebrow makeover. The feathery brow trend caught my eye, lifting my eye area, although it’s now making way for the more groomed, nineties-style brow. The beauty of makeup is in its flexibility; you can change it up as you wish.
Starting with the new discoveries, I’ve been using the ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF30. It’s a tinted moisturizer that has earned me countless compliments. It’s loaded with illuminator, giving a radiant glow. The coverage is light yet effective, creating an even skin tone with a dewy finish. It’s extremely hydrating, great for a fresh daytime look with just a bit of bronzer, blush, and mascara. The skin tint provides a polished yet effortless appearance, although it may enhance fine lines for some. Using a pore-filling primer can help with this. It’s priced at £46, positioning it as a premium product, ideal for dry skin. Though it doesn’t set completely, you can manage with powder or primer. It compares to NARS Tinted Moisturiser, offering more glow but less coverage. Despite my slight dislike for the pipette dispenser, its performance makes up for it.
Next up is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze, perfect for achieving feathery brows. It’s a waxy gel that shapes and holds brows firmly without clumping. You don’t need the special applicator; a quick brush wash in boiling water keeps your tools clean. This product is unparalleled in brow styling, giving my fair brows significant definition without added color. It’s like using friendly glue that holds without overdoing it. You can find it for £23.
Victoria Beckham’s Kajal Eyeliner in Copper is another favorite. Though pricey at £26, its unique shades and staying power are unmatched. It offers a soft, blendable texture that sets quickly without smudging. I love the Copper shade for adding a subtle sparkle that suits daytime wear.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Hypnotising Pop Shots are also new to my collection. They focus on adding a glittery finish to your lids, similar to the glimmer from her eye quads. Sunlit Diamond is a warm, coppery gold, perfect for adding fun to your January makeup routine.
Lastly, Ruby Hammer’s Lip Serum Balms are a delightful discovery. They’re incredibly soft and moisturizing, with colors that linger even when the tint fades. The bright red shade may not be kiss-proof but adds a cheerful touch to any look. It’s priced at £18.
That’s it for my makeup routine update. Unfortunately, you might not see the video if it’s still uploading. I also used Charlotte Tilbury Cream Bronzer, Beauty Pie brown mascara, and red lipliner. My cream roll-neck jumper is from Wyse London, though it’s sold out now.
