This makeup collection really has a refreshing spring vibe, and it’s lifting my spirits despite the stormy weather and our usual layered outfits. It’s the Act IV collection by Estée Lauder, made together with Danielle Lauder, who is an aspiring actress and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Estée Lauder.
The collection consists of seven makeup products that are both stylish and practical for everyday use, leaning into an ‘Old Hollywood’ glam style. It’s designed to make you feel like a star with just the right amount of sparkle to brighten your day without being over the top.
The packaging has a simple yet luxurious vintage look. You can see the Hollywood inspiration, especially in the skincare products aimed at achieving a dreamy, soft-focus finish. There’s the Cinemattic Complexion Liquid that works as a blurring, mattifying primer, and the Spotlight Highlighter for a warm, pearlescent glow.
You can use the Complexion Liquid alone for an even, smooth base with minimal coverage, but it’s fantastic under foundation for a flawless finish. It’s perfect with the highlighter and loose Party Puff Starlucent Powder, which exudes vintage glamour and offers a fresh, radiant finish.
The color makeup is a delight for pastel enthusiasts, featuring coral and lavender tones, which work surprisingly well on eyelids. The Best Picture Multi-Look Palette is ideal for creating a smoky eye with its blend of lavender and charcoal shades.
While I rarely use purple in my makeup routine, I found this quite thrilling and a welcomed break from my usual look. It feels like a tiny step out of my comfort zone.
The lipsticks and tints are likely to be crowd-pleasers, offering two Luxe Lip Creme shades—Reel Coral and Reel Rose—and a convenient Lip Duet Tint and Balm.
