I can’t believe I forgot to share this earlier! Here’s my outfit from the Audi Polo event at Coworth Park from early August. Those long summer days feel so far away now, even though it’s only been a month. Lately, I’ve been wearing a dressing gown over my clothes when I’m working at the computer.
So, on my way to the Audi Polo, I took the opportunity to show off my bright orangey-red nails, courtesy of Dior’s Riviera polish. I pretended to read the Audi Polo magazine during the car ride not because it’s dull, but I just can’t read while the car is moving. When we were stuck in traffic, I had a chance to browse through it and learned some interesting facts about Argentinian polo players.
Here’s a close-up of my face: just hours after my friend’s wedding, I was not feeling my best. Luckily, By Terry Sheer Expert and Chanel’s Les Beiges saved the day. I went with a very nude makeup look to match my nude outfit, more out of simplicity than style. I thought about a bold red lip but didn’t trust my shaky hands.
As for the outfit itself, it was nude with a hint of coral, thanks to the little Anya Hindmarch bag. The dress is by Halston Heritage, a fantastic find at TK Maxx in the Gold Label section. It’s designed with countless tiny pleats and has a nude belt that cinches the waist. However, there was one issue—the front of the dress is quite low, and since I skipped wearing a bra, things got quite revealing when I sat down! I ended up keeping my scarf strategically placed over my chest during dinner.
Despite this little wardrobe malfunction, I absolutely adore this dress. I also snagged a Catherine Malandrino silk jumpsuit for just £79 at the same time, but I haven’t had a chance to wear it yet. I’m not sure it would have been the right choice for the polo event, anyway. Also, here’s an attempt at photographing Prince Harry: it’s blurry because my iPhone camera isn’t the best.
