I finally got around to filming a new video, didn’t I? It took a couple of tries—once, I even forgot to hit the record button—but I eventually put together a shortlist of my seventeen most-used beauty products from last year.
As I mention in the video, it’s important to differentiate between “most-used” and “favorite” products. My most-used items aren’t necessarily my favorite ones. Favorites might include something like a luxurious red lipstick or a stunning blush compact—items that aren’t necessarily used every day but are definitely special.
I spent quite a bit of time reviewing my notes to identify what I used the most. I went through loads of face creams, bath oils, shower gels, washes, and six different foundations that I rotated, before narrowing it down to seventeen items. Originally, the list was supposed to be ten, but I came across several “17 Favorites of 2017” videos, and it seemed like a nice idea to match that theme. Plus, it allowed me to add seven more products, which was helpful since I was finding it tough to cut down the options.
